ScanLokal is a simple offline document scanner. Scan paper, recognize text, and export PDF on your phone — no account and no cloud upload.

Scan with the camera or pick photos from your gallery. Crop pages, add more pages, reorder them, and keep everything in a local document list you can search by title or recognized text.

Recognize text on the device. ScanLokal supports English, Indonesian, Portuguese, Swahili, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Vietnamese, Malay, Filipino, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more. Some extra languages (such as Arabic, Thai, Russian, Bengali, Tamil, Urdu, and Amharic) download a language model the first time you use them, then work fully offline.

Export a PDF you can share or save to Downloads. If you ran OCR, the PDF includes a searchable text layer. You can also copy or share the recognized text after editing it.

Your scans stay on this device. Scanning and OCR run locally. The network is used only to download a language model when you first need it.
