EDITED 12/26/2024. I can't count the number of times I pick up the phone and open the app only to see 'NOT CONNECTED." We have contacted and received no response. Honestly, I thought this feature was going to be really convenient and save money, as we could set it while we were away from home. My recommendation? Buy anything but a Trane: (end of edit) It does not stay connected. It happens frequently and we've gotten no help from the installer.

The Trane app for the thermostat is the least user-friendly, unintuitive thermostat app that I have ever seen or used. Creating, saving, and executing programs is ridiculously complex and user unfriendly. The appears to have been programmed by people that never tested or used it. It was not designed for the user. I have worked with my HVAC contractor and submitted detailed comments and suggestions. Even the HVAC techs don't know how to program it.

New router, new modem, same problems. Trash app. This app is pretty much useless. It constantly disconnects from the thermostat. The thermostat is connected to the wifi but the app doesn't stay connected to the thermostat. I would like to see additional features on the app, like daily usage.
