Hokku is a logic puzzle built on one quiet rule set.
Every board is divided into coloured regions. Place one hedgehog in each row, each column and each region — and never let two hedgehogs touch, not even at the corners.
That is the whole game. No timers pushing you. No numbers to memorise. No luck.
EVERY PUZZLE HAS EXACTLY ONE SOLUTION
All 1,175 levels are verified twice before they ship: once to confirm a single valid solution exists, and once to confirm that solution can be reached by reasoning alone. You will never be asked to guess and backtrack.
A DIFFICULTY CURVE THAT BREATHES
Boards run from a gentle 4×4 up to a demanding 12×12. Difficulty rises steadily but never in a straight line — a punishing puzzle is followed by a quieter one, so a hard-won solve is never immediately punished.
HINTS THAT EXPLAIN, NOT SOLVE
Stuck? The hint system finds the next deduction you can actually make and shows you why it works. It teaches the reasoning instead of filling in the answer.
