Not Now is a small, quiet app for putting time between an impulse and a
decision.
You are about to do something. Buy the $180 headphones. Order the takeaway.
Sign up for another subscription. Send the message you will regret. Quit,
after one bad day.
Record it in a few seconds and choose how long to wait: 30 minutes, tomorrow,
three days, a week. It disappears from view.
Later, your phone brings it back and asks one question:

Three answers. Do it. Not anymore. Or give it more time.
THE APP HAS NO OPINION
Not Now never tells you what to choose. There is no score, no streak, no
badge, and no colour that means you gave in. "Do it" and "Not anymore" are
drawn identically, on purpose.
Its only job was to make sure the choice got made later, by a calmer version
of you. What you decide is yours.
WHAT IT REMEMBERS
Add an amount if it costs something, a category if you want one, and a line
about why you wanted it. When it comes back, you see your own words from
before:
You said: "It's 30% off."
Over time you can see which kinds of impulse fade after waiting, how much a
longer wait actually changes your mind, and what you decided against.
Every one of those is worked out on your phone, from your own records. Where
there is not enough to say something true, the app says nothing rather than
filling the space.
THINGS I DIDN'T DO
A quiet list of what stopped feeling necessary after some time.
Not Now records what you decided against, not what you "saved". It has no way
of knowing whether you would have gone through with it, so it does not claim
to.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account. No sign-in. No server. No cloud.
There is no analytics in this app at all. What you are about to do, why, what
it costs and what you decided stay in a database on your phone. Notifications
are scheduled by your device. Nothing you record is uploaded anywhere, because
there is no code in the app that could.
The free version shows adverts on two screens: the bottom of your history, and
the About page. Never on the screen that asks "still want to?", never where you
record something, and never on Things I Didn't Do. The advertising has no
access to anything you have recorded. The one-time unlock removes it entirely.
WHAT IT IS NOT
Not a to-do list. Not a habit tracker. Not a budget. Not a journal. Not a
blocker. It does not treat anything.
It is one thing: a way to wait before deciding.

Things I Didn't Do are all free and unlimited.
Not Now Premium is a single payment, no subscription. It removes the adverts
and adds unlimited things on hold, your own waiting periods, full insights,
money totals, complete history, your own categories, six extra themes, backup
and export.
Nothing you have already recorded is ever hidden, deleted or locked.
