About this app

Stamp Collection is a digital album for philatelists, built for collectors of
Australian and international stamps, commemoratives, first day covers, miniature
sheets, postal history, revenues and thematic collections.

Catalogue what you own, photograph the front and back of every item, record
condition and provenance, and keep track of what your collection is worth.
Everything stays on your device.

**ANSWER THE QUESTIONS YOU ACTUALLY ASK**

**A PROPER CATALOGUE ENTRY**
Country, issue name, catalogue number, year, denomination, issue date, type,
theme, series, condition, gum condition, perforation, watermark, printing method
and colour, with mint, used and cancelled recorded independently, because a
holding of several copies can be more than one.

Only the country and the issue name are needed to save. Everything else can be
filled in whenever you know it.

**THE PHOTOGRAPH IS THE RECORD**
Front and back scans on every stamp, shown large. The back carries the watermark,
the gum and any repairs. For a philatelist that is not a secondary image, it is
half the record. Front and back scans never count towards the free photo limit.

**ORGANISE IT YOUR WAY**
Collections for your albums: Australia, Great Britain, Birds, Space, Olympics,
First Day Covers, Miniature Sheets, Revenue Stamps, Postal History. Storage
locations for where each item physically is: album, stock book, binder, display
frame, safe, box, archive folder.

**VALUE AND PROVENANCE**
Record what you paid, from whom and when. Record valuations over the years and
watch how the value has moved. Every figure is one you entered. Stamp Collection
has no price guide and does not pretend to.

Filter by country, year, theme, series, type, condition, mint/used/cancelled,
collection, storage location, dealer, favourites, or stamps you have not valued
yet. Sort by value, year, country, issue name, purchase date or recently added.
Search across every field at once, including your own notes.

**REPORTS THAT ARE ACTUALLY USEFUL**
Complete collection, insurance inventory, collection valuation, purchase history
and wish list, as PDFs with photographs, or CSV for a spreadsheet. Storage
locations are left out unless you switch them on, because a document naming your
safe is worth thinking about before you share it.

**HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS NOT**
Stamp Collection has no price guide and no market data. It cannot identify a
stamp from a photograph. It holds no catalogue data of its own. You type your
own references, from whichever catalogue you use. It never converts between
currencies; each is totalled separately. And a stamp you have not valued is left
out of your totals rather than counted as nothing.
