About this app

Ever been out running or cycling and needed to send an SMS message?
Now you can send SMS messages right from your Garmin sports watch.

This app will enable you to send SMS messages from your Android device using your connected Garmin sports watch.

PERMISSIONS
This app requires the following permissions;
Access to your contacts To list your contacts so you can select who you would like to sync to your Garmin connected sports watch and send SMS messages to.
Send and View SMS messages To send the SMS messages. The app only sends SMS messages. The app does not view or read SMS messages.

USAGE
Contacts tab
Here you can select your favourite contacts to be synced to your connected Garmin watch.
Messages tab
Here you can define the messages you'd like to sync and send.
Click the add button.
Enter your predefined message
Click ok.
To delete a predefined message you can click and hold a message.
Syncing with you connected Garmin sports watch
Press the sync button on the menu bar.
You should see a small message pop up at the bottom of your screen if it is successful.

Sends texts but...can't use when running as is only available via the area of the watch where you select your activity (e.g. if already running, you would have to stop to save your run, press the side button again to access the app send your message then start a new run) . I was hoping it would be like a widget or data field during the run but doesn't seem to work like that. Sadly.

Pretty cool. Really simple to use and it works quite well. Could be cool if you somehow added a keyboard or maybe voice to message just to make it a bit better but it's really well built and worth the money.

This is my backup watch. Used to be my medium one but I use it for work as it does a lot more through the watch. I don't have to take my cell out and get into trouble either lol
