I love having this app! It's super convenient to be able to add funds online rather than sending a check or cash into school. I also like being able to set restrictions for a la cart purchases. I also like getting notifications for a low balance. Overall, I've had a great experience with the app. My only recommendation is to be able to set restrictions on breakfast purchases. (My son tends to still buy breakfast at school even after eating at home which cuts into the lunch money budget.)

Thank you for the kind and very detailed review! While specific item restrictions are not in SchoolCafe, you can email your school and ask them to make all breakfast items restricted for your son on their end. App is no longer sending low balance notifications. I've checked the settings and my phone permissions. I used to get them but it appears a recent update broke it. I also don't find it very user friendly. It would be easier to pick my kids name and make a payment instead of opening the menu. Also why isn't there an option to pick a default payment method instead of having to choose it every time. It would be faster especially as I only have 1 card saved.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it looks like your device is on an outdated version (3.9.4) and does not want to update itself. Can you please try deleting and reinstalling it? That should upgrade it to the latest version (5.4), which has worked for others. All of your concerns/suggestions are addressed in that version!

Updated from 2 to 5 stars... Problem solved by re-install. 5 stars for the quick customer service... Thanks. This app will not log-in about 99% (no exaggeration) of the time. It has my user/password remembered, when the app starts I just click the log-in button and the spinning circle just spins forever. Killing the app and starting over, rebooting the phone, nothing seems to make it work. This is extremely frustrating. For the 1% of the time it does work, it's a great app, but... :(

Sorry for the inconvenience! Your device does not seem to want to update to the new version for some reason. If you've tried rebooting, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling app (which almost always works for users on older devices) as well? EDIT: Outstanding!!
