About this app

"Leleka School" is a Ukrainian online weekend school application for children living abroad but seeking to stay connected with Ukraine.

This is a Saturday or Sunday online school for Ukrainian families, in which the child studies during the week at a local school, and on weekends joins the Ukrainian educational space: listens to the Ukrainian language, communicates with peers, masters reading and writing, gets acquainted with history and culture.

The application helps parents conveniently organize their studies: view the class schedule, receive important notifications, track class attendance and stay in touch with the school in one place.

Leleka School is not a second daily school or a selection of recorded video lessons. This is distance learning with live online classes on Zoom in small groups on Saturday or Sunday, where teachers pay attention to each student and help develop language skills without excessive workload.

We help children growing up in a foreign language environment to preserve their Ukrainian linguistic and cultural identity: to improve their speaking, reading and writing skills, to deepen their knowledge of Ukraine and to feel a sense of belonging to the Ukrainian community.

In our educational center abroad, not only lessons are held, but also thematic and festive meetings dedicated to Ukraine, its culture, traditions and outstanding figures. There are also electives in the evenings on weekdays. Thanks to this, the child not only learns the Ukrainian language, but also becomes better aware of his own cultural identity.

In case of missing a lesson, the family can receive a recording of it. Homework helps to consolidate the material, and the educational process takes into account the workload at the local school and family routine.
Leleka School is a little Ukraine on a day off: online school, Saturday school, Sunday school and a common space in which the child remains a part of Ukrainian education, language and culture.
