The "Patient Assistant" application was created by experts in the field of cardiology, based on many years of research carried out at the Medical University of Wrocław.
The application is designed to support patients with heart failure by collecting and analyzing data on symptoms and medical recommendations (including pharmacotherapy) related to this disease. Therefore, it is a modern, friendly support for self-care in heart failure.
The assistant can easily decipher complex medical recommendations. You don't have to remember, you don't have to understand - the assistant will show you what, how and when.
Data is collected through simple questions asked automatically every evening (if your well-being deteriorates, you can enter additional data).
Each time the application evaluates the answers and if they turn out to be disturbing - it will suggest specific behavior, e.g. contacting a doctor.
HOW IT'S WORKING?
When you first start the application, you must provide the application with data on recommended medications (name and time of taking, i.e. morning/noon/evening) and other tasks that constitute self-care for heart failure (e.g. daily weight control).
It is possible to set reminders and/or notifications about medications or any other recommendation, but this is not mandatory.
Then, the user's only responsibility is to confirm the completion of the tasks every day by answering the questions included in the form sent every evening. The questions are very specific and, importantly, they provoke the user to pay attention to several everyday situations or habits that should not be ignored by a patient with heart failure, without burdening him with the need to educate himself in this area.
Based on the answers (or lack thereof), the risk of worsening the unfavorable symptoms of the disease can be estimated, which very often results directly from how self-care is carried out (i.e. specific tasks to which the questions concern).
If the answers are disturbing, the assistant will suggest specific behavior or contact a doctor.
Additionally, by using
the "self-observation" form, you can report any disturbing symptoms to the application, regardless of when they appear.
The application provides detailed statistics of reported symptoms and behaviors, which may be a valuable source of information during the next meeting with a cardiologist during a follow-up visit.
The assistant is support that will help you regain control over your health.
Let your assistant support your daily life to minimize the limitations and risks associated with heart disease.
