💡 Screen Awake — keep your display from sleeping with one Quick Settings tap
Tired of the screen dimming mid-recipe, mid-map, or mid-video? Screen Awake adds a Quick Settings tile that toggles Android’s screen-off timeout: infinite while ON, your previous timeout when OFF. Open the app once to grant modify-settings permission and pin the tile — then toggle anytime from the shade without digging into system menus.
Unofficial DIY helper. Changes the system screen timeout setting — not a “keep awake” that only works while this app is open.
🔊 How it works
1️⃣ Open the app and grant “modify system settings”
2️⃣ Add the Awake tile to Quick Settings (edit tiles or use Add tile)
3️⃣ Tap Keep screen on (or the tile) — timeout goes infinite
4️⃣ Tap again to restore your normal timeout
⚠️ Best after Write Settings permission is granted. Some OEM skins limit very large timeout values; the app falls back to a long duration if needed. Force-stopping the app from system settings can temporarily disable the tile service until you open the app again.
