About this app

ScreenMento helps users and families reduce distracting screen habits, manage app usage, and receive instant awareness alerts.

With App Time Limits, users can set a separate daily limit for selected apps. Each limit can be used in “Notify Only” mode or in the optional “Notify and Block App” mode. When a selected app reaches its limit, ScreenMento can send an instant notification and, if enabled, display a full-screen reminder over that app.

The optional Short Video Blocker helps reduce excessive Reels and Shorts usage. When enabled, it detects supported full-screen short-video players in Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Facebook Lite and uses the Android Back action to leave that screen. Users can also review how many short videos were blocked.

Parent Alerts are another key ScreenMento feature. When enabled, important events can be sent instantly to the parent’s connected Telegram account. Alerts may include:

• Daily screen limit reached or exceeded
• Screen use during selected work or study hours
• A selected app reaching or exceeding its App Time Limit
• Short Video Blocker activity
• Important monitoring or permission events

App Time Limit alerts may include the name of the relevant app. Parent Alerts are optional, require user consent, and can be disabled at any time.

ScreenMento also provides daily and weekly reports, monthly trends, work or study schedule support, screen-limit tracking, and on-device habit scores.

Accessibility Service Disclosure:

ScreenMento uses two separate optional Android AccessibilityService-based features:

1. Short Video Blocker
2. App Blocker for App Time Limits

Both features are disabled by default and must be enabled manually by the user.

The Short Video Blocker checks supported apps only for technical layout identifiers associated with an open full-screen Reels or Shorts player. When a match is found, it performs the Android Back action. It does not read visible text, captions, comments, usernames, passwords, messages, or form fields.

The App Blocker reads only the package name of the app that comes to the foreground and compares it with apps placed by the user in “Notify and Block App” mode. It cannot retrieve screen content, does not read text, does not take screenshots, and does not inspect anything displayed inside an app. Non-matching package names are discarded and are not stored or transmitted.

ScreenMento does not use AccessibilityService to read messages, record keystrokes, collect passwords, access private conversations, record audio or calls, take screenshots, change settings without permission, bypass Android privacy controls, or perform advertising or analytics.

ScreenMento does not store, sell, or share screen content obtained through AccessibilityService.

If Parent Alerts are enabled, ScreenMento may send short awareness notifications to the parent’s configured Telegram account. These may include the relevant app name for an App Time Limit alert, an aggregate Short Video Blocker count, or an enabled/disabled status message.

Screen content, messages, passwords, keystrokes, screenshots, photos, videos, audio, calls, contacts, and personal files are not sent.

ScreenMento supports healthier digital routines through instant alerts, app limits, optional app blocking, short-video control, Parent Alerts, reports, schedules, and clear usage trends.
