About this app

Tides shows when the water is high and when it is low, for any coastal place in the world.

Search a beach, harbour or town, or tap "Tides near me", and see at a glance:

• NOW – the current water level, and whether the tide is rising or falling
• NEXT HIGH AND LOW TIDE – the time, the height and a countdown
• A CHART FOR EACH DAY – 7 days ahead, with highs and lows marked. Touch and drag the chart to read the level at any moment
• A LIST OF TIDES for the day you pick
• SAVED PLACES – tap the star to keep your favourite beaches on the start screen

Times are shown in the local time of the place, so a trip abroad shows the times you will see on the beach.

• Free, no ads, no account
• Location is optional and only used when you tap "Tides near me"
• Works in light and dark mode

Where the data comes from
Tide data comes from the Open-Meteo Marine API, a global ocean model that also includes weather effects such as storm surge. It is not an official harbour tide table: times are usually close to the official ones, but heights can differ, especially in estuaries and harbours. Heights are relative to mean sea level. Do not use this app for navigation.
