More disappointing than the print issue. The News Sentinal used to be a great company to do business with. Not anymore! Not since they have sold out to Gannett and we now speak to a foreigner at customer service. I almost canceled instead of renewing because it took so long and had to repeat my address and credit card number so many times I thought I was being scammed. Especially when she refused to email me a confirmation that my bill was paid. Terrible way to run a business!!!!

I like the content and while I put up with the constant logging in for a while, today was the last straw. At the beginning of January, I got a note in the app that said I needed to subscribe now through Google Play so I did for a year. And kept logging in daily..... Then on Feb 1, my credit card was charged from Gannett directly for another year. I called and they said they had no record of the Google Play payment and to dispute with Google ONE MONTH LATER. And that if I wanted to keep subscribing I had to pay again Unacceptable. Really is a shame since I would like to support our local newspaper.

I have many problems keeping up with what is going on in the news with my app on my phone. Since it's most recent revision it seems that the ads have gotten twice as bad and are very intrusive when trying to read a story. I am sick of having to sign in every time I open the app and then there is the ridiculous so-called verifications!! What a joke!!!! This needs serious attention because I am seriously considering dropping my subscription soon.
