About this app

For families tired of the phone war between parents and teens.

Get real cash for less scrolling. Your parent or guardian sets a weekly amount, and every hour you stay off TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and 20+ other apps, you keep more of the money.

No blocks. No lectures. No hidden logs of what you actually watched.

WHY IT WORKS WHEN LIMITS DON'T
Screen time apps that block or nag get switched off within a week. ScrollStash turns the choice into a game with real stakes — every scroll is a small trade against your own weekly pay. Kids see it, feel it, and change behaviour without being told to.

HOW IT WORKS
• Your sponsor picks a weekly amount (e.g. £30) and the apps to track
• You start each day with money already in the bank
• Beat your daily target and you keep more
• Every good day this week grows your streak bonus — up to 20% extra at 4 days
• Weekly pay-day: your sponsor sees what you earned and pays you their way (cash, transfer, whatever works for your family)

YOU'RE IN CONTROL
• Nothing is blocked, ever — you decide when to close an app
• A mindful pause shows the cost of each open, e.g. "10 more mins = lose £0.18"
• Three intensity settings: Easy, Medium, Go Hard
• Home screen widget shows today's earnings at a glance

FRIEND TABLES
Compete against friends who also use ScrollStash — see who saved the most this week. Optional, no sponsor required to join.

FOR PARENTS + GUARDIANS
• Set a weekly amount that suits your budget
• Watch progress from your own device — never the content they're viewing
• Weekly coaching tips help you have positive conversations about screen time
• Works across multiple devices per child (phone + tablet combined)
• You handle the actual money — ScrollStash never touches funds

PRIVACY BUILT IN
• We only count minutes spent in apps you chose together
• We never see the content — no videos, no posts, no messages, no photos, no keystrokes, no contacts
• Anonymous — no account, no email, no personal data
• Runs alongside any parental control tool you already use

SUPPORTED APPS
TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Facebook, X (Twitter), Threads, Pinterest, BeReal, Discord, Tumblr, Roblox, Netflix, Disney+, Twitch, Prime Video, Kick, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile, Candy Crush, Minecraft. You can also add custom apps from your local app store.

PRACTICE MODE (FREE, NO SPONSOR NEEDED)
Not paired with a sponsor yet? Use ScrollStash on your own. Track your minutes, get coaching tips, see your progress. Completely free, no strings.

IMPORTANT
ScrollStash does not process, hold, or transfer money. Weekly reward amounts are agreed and paid privately between the sponsor and user.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE USE
Some sponsored apps also work as websites — opening tiktok.com in your browser is the same as opening the TikTok app. Android doesn't have another way for ScrollStash to know when this happens, so without this feature, opening one of them in your browser would bypass ScrollStash's pause screen.

When it's on, ScrollStash uses Android's Accessibility Service to read the current page URL from your browser's address bar. If the URL matches the website version of one of your sponsored apps, the same mindful-pause screen fires. We only read the URL — never form fields, keystrokes, or any other page content. URLs are compared in memory and immediately discarded. Nothing is stored on your device, sent to any server, or shared with anyone.

This feature is optional and off by default — ScrollStash works fully without it. You can turn it off at any time in Accessibility Settings or from within ScrollStash.
