SIMTELPAS connects you with family members undergoing rehabilitation in prisons and detention centers (inmates/WB). Send messages, photos, and voice messages, receive voice and video calls, and top up your WB balance, directly from your phone.
KEY FEATURES
• Chat with WB
Send text messages, photos, and voice messages. View sent and read receipts, reply to specific messages, and delete messages for everyone. Chat history is saved on your phone, so you can access it even when there's no signal.
• Voice messages
Hold the microphone button to record, release to send. Swipe to cancel or lock the recording.
• Receive voice and video calls
WB calls from kiosks in the prison. Your phone will continue to ring even when the app is closed. Calls can also be made with multiple family members simultaneously.
• Top up your WB balance
Top up your communication balance (for WB messages and calls) or your cooperative balance (for shopping at the prison cooperative). The price and total amount are displayed before you pay, and payment is made using QRIS.
• Notifications
Get notified of new messages, incoming calls, and top-up requests. Messages never appear on the lock screen.
• App Lock
Protect your conversations with your fingerprint, face, or phone screen lock.
• Chat Display
Adjust the text size, theme color, bubble shape, and message spacing to your liking.
HOW TO GET STARTED
1. Register with your mobile number, create a 6-digit PIN, and enter your WB registration number.
2. The WB will approve your request from the kiosk at the prison.
3. Log in with your mobile number and PIN, then start communicating.
You can connect with more than one WB using a single account.
IMPORTANT
Communications via SIMTELPAS are monitored by prison and detention center officers in accordance with correctional regulations, and calls are recorded. For families, sending messages is free.
