Push2Talk replaces portable VHF radios with a digital push-to-talk system designed for the maritime environment.
The server is physically installed onboard and communicates over the ship's WiFi network: the app works in port, on the high seas, and under any satellite connectivity conditions, as it does not depend on the internet or cloud services.
PRESS TO TALK
A full-screen button, designed to be used with gloves and on the move. Press, speak, release. Whoever has the speaking turn is clearly communicated to all channel users.
OPERATIONAL CHANNELS
Bridge, engine room, deck, services: each department has its own channel. The officer in charge decides who accesses what from the onboard dashboard.
EMERGENCY CHANNEL WITH ABSOLUTE PRIORITY
In critical situations, the emergency channel interrupts all ongoing communications and immediately reaches the entire crew, on all channels. No queues, no waiting.
SERVICE CHAT
Text messages on channels for anything that doesn't require voice: numbers, positions, confirmations. They remain available even after the shift.
AUDIO FOR NOISY ENVIRONMENTS
Opus codec optimized for voice, typical latency under 200 ms. Clearly intelligible in the engine room and on the bridge deck, where a VHF radio is not sufficient.
ROLES AND TRACEABILITY
Captain, officer, crew member: each role has its own permissions. Communications are recorded in the onboard log for event reconstruction.
FLEET
When the vessel has connectivity, the onboard server synchronizes with the shipowner's: the shore office has a view of the entire fleet without the ship being dependent on it for operation.
FROM 10 TO 1,000 USERS
The same architecture serves a yacht, a fishing vessel, a ferry, or a cruise ship.

Push2Talk requires a Push2Talk server installed onboard and credentials provided by the shipowner. It is not a subscription-based service: the app alone does not work.

Da provare:
1) leggi una chat su un device: il pallino si spegne da solo sull'altro
2) SOS attivo mentre il server riavvia: l'allarme resta e si ferma dal telefono
3) messaggi scritti offline: partono al rientro, mai doppi
4) cambio canale: "Audio in connessione..." finche' la voce non e' pronta
5) chat aperta durante un buco di rete: niente messaggi persi
Utenti test: chiedere ad Antonio.
