OK to start I couldn't get my wifi and ac to talk to each other. Not the apps fault at all. I contacted kenmore for help. We exchanged a total 6 emails each. Unfortunately with no success. I sent them a little more info, such as a screen shot of each page on the app. They replied back in a hour and told me my wifi module was bad. They sent one free of charge that day, I received it the following day. Installation of the module took less than 5 min. So minus one star because I'd like more options.

Like others, I had trouble getting the app to connect with my Kenmore Smart air conditioner. Today, after running the air conditioner for a couple of hours, I was able to get the app to work. Maybe something in the appliance needs to "boot up"? My prior attempts were right after the air conditioner was installed and it hadn't run for very long. Just tossing it out there in case somebody else wants to give it a shot.

Does the app show a red banner that says WiFi is not configured? If that's the case you can only control the AC when you are in close proximity to the AC, and it may take a few seconds after opening the app before you can control it. To enable faster control, and access to it from anywhere, make sure WiFi is configured.

Ive been using the app for over 2 years and it has been great. Then all of a sudden yesterday I get a messege saying WIFI not connected. And now I cannot use it anymore. It doesn't even let me Remove the device to start over. Please help, not being able to use it remotely it terrible. And now the light on my AC unit that says Smart no longer is lighting up green. Please help , does not connect to my wifi. Says product Added but cannot connect to wifi **Update Fixed it. Thank you so much!!!
