I tried this app on an Iberia flight. Normally I get offered upgrades upon check in, and I always purchase them. This time - no upgrade upon check in so I figured I'd give SeatBoost a shot. I was the only bid at EUR 69. Auction closed and I was told there was no inventory. please don't waste our time if there is no inventory.

Hi, sorry that we couldn't help you get upgraded this time. As noted on our platform, last-minute upgrade availability depends on various factors and the discretion or requirements of the airline (such as last-minute changes to the aircraft or cabin) as is never guaranteed.

Great idea, but poor execution - at least for the customers. You can not choose the bid amount. The starting bid for me to upgrade from premium economy to business for a single segment was €900 per person! That's more than buying business class ticket to begin with. I suggest following to improve the app -allow to change bid amount - indicate steps. (I wasn't sure if I clicked "ready to bid", I will have another step to finalize or I was actually bidding. - allow to cancel the bid.

App kept insisting my flight didn't exist, even though I quadruple checked the flight number. Waste of time. Edit- I have been told to use my phone to scan the boarding pass. Which is also on my phone. As this is increasingly common in place of printed passes, it seems like it'd be worthwhile to make the manual entry feature actually work. Skimming the reviews, it appears this is a long standing issue...

Aside from manually entering your booking details (not the flight number but reservation/booking code + names), you can also conveniently scan your boarding pass using the barcode icon.
