Turn motifs and colors into a design of your own. Shyrdak Workshop is a pattern-making and coloring studio inspired by the traditional felt carpets of Kyrgyzstan.

Build with 36 motifs
Explore animal, plant, nature, geometric and border designs. Begin with uncolored shapes, then drag, resize, rotate, flip and duplicate them. Change their front-to-back order and choose a felt-style background, white paper, cream paper or grid paper.

Find your colors
Switch between arranging and coloring. Fill motifs, paper and enclosed gaps, or use the eyedropper to pick a color from your artwork. Explore four palettes, mix colors with RGB sliders or enter a HEX value. Save up to 32 colors to reuse. Zoom, pan, undo and redo as you refine your composition.

Keep creating, then share
Your current work saves automatically on your device. Keep named projects and reopen them to continue editing. Save your artwork as a 1600 × 2000 PNG or send it through the Android share sheet.

Explore the craft
Browse 36 guide entries with references, details to notice and creative prompts. The guide distinguishes 16 interpretations inspired by reference materials from 20 original app designs. Four short lessons and a three-question quiz introduce Shyrdak materials, the making process and cultural context.

Make the workspace comfortable
Set text size from 80% to 110% and choose separately whether icon buttons show their labels.

Good to know
• Editing, the motif guide and learning content work offline. Ads, external references, the Other Apps catalog and error diagnostics use an internet connection.
• Projects and saved colors stay on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data can remove them, so export artwork you want to keep.
• Every motif is newly drawn for the app. Names and interpretations of source-inspired motifs may vary by region and maker. Themes for original designs are creative prompts, not established traditional meanings.
