If a phone is lost or stolen, an unauthorized person may try to power it off, disable connectivity, or access protected device functions. Secure Shutdown adds an extra security layer to help protect your device and alert you when configured security events occur.

Helps prevent unauthorized users from easily powering off or restarting a protected device.

🚨 Emergency SMS Security Alerts
Secure Shutdown can use SMS as a fallback communication channel for configured security alerts. When a supported security or tamper event occurs, the app can send an alert SMS to emergency contacts selected by the user.
SMS can provide an alternative communication channel when internet connectivity is unavailable, subject to cellular network and device availability.

📍 Location Information
When location permission is granted and location data is available, security alerts may include available device location information to help trusted contacts assist with device recovery.

📷 Intruder Detection
When configured, Secure Shutdown can capture an intruder image following a supported unauthorized-access event, providing the device owner with additional security information.

🔔 Security Notifications
Receive notifications when configured protection or security events are detected.

📱 Designed for Lost or Stolen Devices
Secure Shutdown provides an additional protection layer against common actions an unauthorized person may attempt after gaining physical access to a device, including:

📍 Emergency Contacts
Users can configure trusted contacts to receive security alerts. The user controls which contacts are configured and whether emergency alert functionality is enabled.

Sensitive permissions are requested only when required for a feature and after the user chooses to enable it.

Depending on enabled features, Secure Shutdown may request:

• SMS for configured emergency security alerts
• Location for available device location information
• Camera for configured intruder detection
• Accessibility access for shutdown-protection functionality

AccessibilityService is used only for the disclosed device-protection functionality. It is not used to record calls, monitor communications, or collect unrelated personal information. Users can disable AccessibilityService through Android system settings.
