SécuriFest is a specialized safety app designed to help festival staff and volunteers effectively prevent and respond to incidents of sexual harassment and assault at public events.

This app provides a clear, structured, and easy-to-use intervention protocol for managing sensitive situations during festivals and events. It serves as a quick and practical reference tool, available throughout events to ensure a coordinated and professional response. The app is directly linked to the CALACS La Passerelle professional support network and their intervention specialists.
The app is primarily intended for festival organizers and event coordinators, trained volunteers at SécuriFest-certified events, security personnel at public gatherings, and all event staff committed to creating safer festival environments.

Developed by CALACS La Passerelle, SécuriFest addresses a critical need in the festival community. Statistics show that one in two women has experienced harassment or assault at a festival, and more than 53% don't know where to seek help when they feel unsafe. The SécuriFest protocol establishes a common prevention and intervention approach to counter sexual assault at the more than 500 annual festivals held across Quebec.

To access the app's full features, at least two volunteers from your event must complete the SécuriFest short training course. This requirement ensures proper implementation of the protocol and maintains the integrity of the security program.
By participating in the SécuriFest program, festivals demonstrate a concrete commitment to preventing sexual violence while building community trust and creating more inclusive and respectful environments for all attendees.
