This is Webster Dictionary (1913), containing 183000 translation articles. The Dictionary is OFFLINE and does not need the internet connection.

Database size is more than 31MB. It will be downloaded when the application is run first time. We recommend you to use Wi-Fi connection.

Main features:

1. History – every word you ever viewed is stored in history.
2. Favorites – you are able to add words to favorites list by clicking the “star” icon.
3. Managing History and Favorites lists – you are able edit those lists or clear them.
4. Various Settings – you may change application’s font and theme (choose one of several color themes).
5. Context word search – click any word in translation article and search for it’s translation.
6. Random word of the day widget. To see the widget in the list the application must be installed to phone memory (dictionary database may be installed anywhere).

Ratings and reviews

Misses the entire point of this edition of the dictionary. Sure, it has the definitions, but does it have the usage? Not at all. That bit is where the magic is! Plus, it splits off multiple definitions into several entries. You've got to click through them all, which is all sorts of unnecessary. I'm going to stick to a website instead of this app. Good luck, though!

This app is extremely helpful in finding words and synonyms (or antonyms) very fast. Rather than flip through a large, disheveled dictionary, you type the word you want and choose which version. It's simple and has helpful additives like a favorites folder and other neat things, highly recommend.

An oldie but goodie as far as dictionaries go. While you will not find as many entries as a 2026 dictionary, the definitions are thorough and better explained than many modern dictionaries.
