About this game

Minefall is a minesweeper puzzle that goes deeper. Every level is an older age of the Earth: you start in a 1984 arcade room and dig down through a war bunker, a plague pit, a pyramid chamber and dinosaur beds, all the way to the Big Bang.

The rules are the minesweeper rules you know. Numbers tell you how many mines touch a tile. Tap to dig, press and hold to flag. What changes is what is at stake: a mine costs one of three hearts instead of ending the game, and when the hearts are gone the whole dig starts again from level one. That is the roguelike part.

Two fixes you asked for, both about fair digging.

THE EXIT PLAYS FAIR
The way down no longer hides under the last tile you can reach. On levels 1-3 it can turn up on your very first dig; deeper down it waits somewhere along the way, never at the bitter end.

A FREE TILE WHEN YOU ARE STUCK
On the rare board that logic alone cannot finish, the game uncovers a safe tile for you instead of making you flip a coin. It is never a mine.
