He is Abu Bakr Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Obaid bin Sufyan bin Qais al-Qurashi, nicknamed Ibn Abi al-Dunya, and he is the mawla of Banu Umayyah. He was born in the city of Baghdad specifically in the early third century AH in the year 208. Creativity in the various literatures and translations from which Ibn Abi al-Dunya imbibed and had a positive and fundamental impact on the idea. He died in the year 281 AH.
