Tortoise Time helps children aged 6 to 14 build healthy screen-time habits — gently, not by force.

GENTLE GUIDANCE, NOT A HARD WALL
Instead of abruptly cutting your child off, Tortoise Time uses a six-stage progressive reminder system. As your child approaches the daily limit, a calm tortoise companion gives soft nudges at 60%, 75%, and 90%. Only when 100% of the agreed daily limit is reached does a full-screen blocking screen appear, inviting your child to wrap up. The goal is cooperation, not confrontation.

PARENTS STAY IN CONTROL
Parents set the daily limit, choose which apps to monitor, and protect every setting behind a 4-digit PIN. Sensitive actions (turning off monitoring, changing the PIN) require both the PIN and an explicit confirmation. There is no "beg the parent" loop and no hidden bypass on the child's screen.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN — LOCAL FIRST, NO TRACKING
Almost everything stays on your device: usage records, limits, the parental PIN (stored as a salted SHA-256 hash we can never reverse), and game progress. We do NOT collect your child's name, age, location, contacts, or any personal information. We do NOT show ads, we do NOT use an advertising ID, and we NEVER sell data. Tortoise Time has no account system and no cross-device sync.

A SEVEN-YEAR VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY
Every minute saved becomes part of a warm, hand-illustrated story. Your child joins a little tortoise, Mori, and Captain Mora on a seven-year voyage — unlocking chapters, collecting a Codex of discoveries, and watching a lighthouse glow brighter as good habits grow. The reward for using less screen time is a story worth coming back to — never streaks, never "watch one more episode."
