KNI Service Engineer is a dedicated app for managing restaurant equipment service jobs. It is used by service engineers to receive service requests, plan visits, repair equipment and update billing – all in one place.
This app is designed for internal use by service engineers of KNI and partner companies. It helps keep service requests organized, transparent and easy to track from start to finish.
🔧 How It Works
Service Request Created
A restaurant raises a service request for its kitchen or restaurant equipment.
Engineer Receives Job
The service engineer gets a detailed job request in the app with:
• Customer name and restaurant details
• Location and contact information
• Equipment details
• Problem description
• Preferred date and time
Accept or Reject
The engineer can:
• Accept the request and schedule the visit
• Reject or cancel the request with a valid reason (for example, wrong location, duplicate request, or not serviceable)
On-Site Visit & Inspection
On the scheduled date, the engineer visits the restaurant, checks the equipment and updates the task status in the app (In Progress, On Hold, Completed, etc.).
Repair and Service Details
The engineer can add:
• Work carried out
• Parts replaced
• Notes or observations
• Photos, if required
Billing & Extra Work
If additional parts or extra work is required, the engineer can create or update billing details inside the app as per company process.
Job Completion
Once the work is finished, the engineer marks the task as Completed, and the final status is visible to the back-office or admin team.
