About this app

Physics Body Editor is a mobile tool for game developers to create accurate physics body shapes and collision polygons for 2D game sprites. Import your sprite images, draw or auto-trace collision shapes, and export ready-to-use physics data for your game engine.

Whether you are building a game with Phaser, Matter.js, Rapier, Box2D, or any other 2D physics engine, Physics Body Editor helps you define precise collision boundaries for your sprites directly from your phone or tablet.

KEY FEATURES

Import Multiple Sprites
Load multiple sprite images at once. Manage all your game assets in one project. View sprite thumbnails, dimensions, and shape counts in the sprite panel.

Auto-Trace with Magic Wand
Automatically trace collision shapes from sprite transparency using alpha detection. Adjust the alpha threshold and simplification tolerance to control the accuracy and vertex count of generated shapes. Save time compared to manual polygon drawing.

Manual Shape Drawing
Draw custom collision polygons by placing vertices directly on your sprite. Snap to the first vertex to close shapes. Create multiple shapes per sprite for complex collision bodies.

Vertex Editing
Edit collision shapes by dragging vertices to fine-tune your physics boundaries. Select and modify individual shapes with touch-friendly controls optimized for mobile screens.

Physics Properties
Set density, friction, and restitution (bounce) values for each physics body. Configure the physical behavior of your game objects before exporting.

Adjustable Origin Point
Set custom pivot and origin points for each sprite. Origin offsets are applied automatically in exported data, so coordinates are ready to use in your game.

Multiple Export Formats
Export physics data in the format your engine needs:
- Phaser Rapier format
- Phaser Matter.js format
- Raw vertex data (universal JSON)

Share and Download
Copy exported JSON to clipboard, share via your device's share sheet, or download as a file. Transfer physics data to your development machine quickly.

Touch-Optimized Interface
Designed for mobile and tablet use. Pinch to zoom, pan with gestures, and edit vertices with touch-friendly hit areas. A dark-themed interface reduces eye strain during extended use.

Undo Support
Undo changes with a full undo history. Experiment with different collision shapes without worrying about losing your work.

WHO IS THIS FOR

Physics Body Editor is built for indie game developers, hobbyist game creators, and game development students who need a quick and portable way to create collision shapes for 2D game sprites. Use it when you are away from your desktop, prototyping on the go, or when you need a simple tool without complex setup.

This app is free to use. No account or sign-up required. All processing happens locally on your device.
