I managed to make this app work after some tiresome thinking and workarounds. The serial number is not needed (at least in my case). The following steps should be followed (again this is how it worked for me): a. Switch off bed from electrical supply and remove battery from remote. b. After a few minutes switch on bed electrical supply only. c. Switch on Bluetooth on smartphone and refresh so it searches items to pair. (In my case base-i1670190). Just press pair and it did so. d. This app works for the Ergomotion 690 adjustable base with remote style D. Make sure you set Bluetooth to 4.0, not 2.1 or else you will not see the base. I don't know why there are a million Android apps. I had to try a bunch of them before one of them worked. Look for ones that have your remote and try it out until one works.

App works fine, but could you please (please!!) fix it so that the selected remote type is saved. When that happens I will happily upgrade to 5 stars!!
