One of the mercies of Allah Almighty is that, every century, the Creator sends His servants imams (spiritual guides) who bring truth to people in a language that they understand, help them gather their thoughts and follow the example of our Lord (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). The Muslim leader, the mujaddid (reformer, renovator), the venerable Abdullah bin Alawi al-Haddad al-Husseini al-Hadrami al-Shafi'i is one of them. The pious Imam Haddad (may Allaah have mercy on him), noting that people were busy with worldly affairs and turned away from knowledge, began to compose messages that were small in volume, deep in content, and easy to understand. The noble Imam Ghazali revealed these topics in detail in his works.
