SafeHonolulu is a community-powered safety awareness app for Honolulu residents and visitors.
Use SafeHonolulu to view nearby public reports, share local hazards, and help your neighbors stay informed about issues that may affect daily travel, public spaces, and community awareness. Reports may include road hazards, flooding, power outages, beach hazards, loose animals, lost pets, potholes, debris, and other local concerns.
The app helps users:
• View public safety and hazard reports on a map
• Submit community reports with location details
• Add optional photos when appropriate
• See quick locations around Oʻahu
• Review safety and preparedness information
• Use traffic-aware routing with available traffic data
• Follow community guidelines designed to protect privacy and reduce harmful or identifying information
SafeHonolulu is built for awareness, not emergency response. Reports are community-submitted and may be reviewed before appearing publicly. Community reports should not include private personal information, faces of uninvolved people, license plates, home addresses, unsupported accusations, or speculation about identity or intent.
SafeHonolulu is not a police reporting system, emergency dispatch service, government app, or substitute for calling 911. For emergencies, crimes in progress, medical danger, fire, immediate road danger, or any threat to life or safety, call 911 immediately.
SafeHonolulu is built in Hawaiʻi by ShakaSoftware LLC to support safer, more informed local communities.
