About this app
SharingCast is a simple file transfer app that sends files straight from one device to another. Share photos, videos, documents and whole folders between Android phones, tablets, Windows PCs and any web browser, with no account, no cable and no size limit.
Your files are never uploaded to a cloud server. SharingCast opens a direct, encrypted peer-to-peer connection (WebRTC), so a large video goes from your phone to your laptop at the speed of your own Wi-Fi or internet connection.
WHY SHARINGCAST
• Send large files of any size: long videos, photo albums, ZIP files, backups
• No sign-up, no login, no email address
• Phone to PC, PC to phone, phone to phone and tablet to laptop
• Nothing stored on a server: files go device to device
• Encrypted transfer, plus an optional password
• Share with a short room code, a QR code or a link
• Send many files or a whole folder at once
• Auto reconnect: if the Wi-Fi drops, the transfer picks up where it stopped
• Keeps sending in the background, even with the screen off
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Send, pick your files and tap Start sharing.
2. Share the code (like SC-7K2QF), the link or the QR code.
3. On the other device, open Receive (or sharingcast.com in any browser), type the code and tap Connect.
4. Tick the files you want and tap Download selected, or save everything as one ZIP.
Both devices need to be online at the same time while the files move, because nothing is stored in between.
MY ROOM: THE SAME FILES, EVERY DAY
Open the Room tab and choose My room. Add your files once and start the room. The room code never changes, so your other devices join only once with Join a room. When you add new files, they tap Sync to see just the new ones and download them. Handy for an office PC, a family tablet, or moving photos from your phone to your computer every day. The Send tab stays free for other transfers at the same time.

The person receiving your files does not need to install anything.
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
• Transfers are encrypted (WebRTC DTLS)
• Add a password so only the right person can connect
• If a direct connection is blocked, an encrypted relay passes the data along without being able to read it
• No account means no profile and no file history on our side
GOOD TO KNOW
• Speed depends on both devices' networks. The same Wi-Fi is usually fastest.
• Keep SharingCast open on the sending device until the transfer finishes.
• SharingCast is free and supported by ads.
