I. Initial Intent: A Time Machine at Your Fingertips
In today's highly saturated digital entertainment world, we often get lost in dazzling special effects and complex numbers, forgetting the pure joy of playing games in our early days. The theme of this project is "Reliving Childhood Games, Returning to the Initial Feelings." We chose the most popular and familiar game, "Circles & Crosses," attempting to strip away all unnecessary embellishments and allow players to reconnect with that innocent time spent with friends, requiring only a piece of paper and a pen.
II. Classic Gameplay: Simple Yet Deep Strategy
The game rules continue the shared memories of generations: on a 3x3 board, two players engage in a duel of space and initiative.
Turn-based combat: Players take turns placing pieces in empty spaces.
Victory objective: The first person to connect three symbols (O or X) in a straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) wins.
The wisdom of a draw: If both sides play a balanced game, and the last nine spaces are filled without any connections, it's a "draw," symbolizing a close contest.
III. Game Experience: Returning to the Essence of Life
This mini-game is positioned as a "refreshing break from the cracks in life." Whether commuting, waiting in line, or taking a short break, a game can be completed in just a few seconds. It doesn't aim to keep players engrossed for long periods, but rather to provide a clean and refreshing interactive space.
IV. Emotional Resonance: Encountering Your Past Self
When you click on the first symbol on the screen, it might evoke memories of doodling with classmates in elementary school, or the laughter of competing with family. This is more than just a program; it's a legacy of sentiment. Through this simple mechanism, we want to tell every player: true emotion often lies hidden in the simplest rules. Let's put aside our complicated thoughts and enjoy this simple battle of victory once again.
