About this app

Shepherding Tools keeps track of who in your congregation has been visited, who hasn't, and who to reach this week.

It was built for pastors and ruling elders who are responsible for a list of households and have no good way to remember where each one stands. The app has two parts.

TRACKER is the record. Log a call, a visit, a text, or an email against a household. Every note carries its own visibility: keep it to yourself, share it with the pastors and elders, or open it to the officers who cover that district. Assign households to districts. Keep follow-ups against a person, so the hospital visit you promised on Sunday is still in front of you on Thursday.

Inside Tracker, the Pastoral Assistant hands you a short list each Sunday: the households you should reach that week, drawn from who you have already been in contact with. It stays pinned for the week instead of reshuffling every time you open it. Birthdays, anniversaries, and your own follow-ups sit alongside it. There is no attendance tracking and no scoring of anybody.

PRAYER rotates through the congregation so every household comes up regularly, instead of the same six names week after week. Today's list is a set of checkboxes. Requests carry visibility tiers, so a private matter stays with the pastor while a congregational one goes to the church, and anything urgent is marked urgent.

Most of it works with no signal. You can read the last synced records and add new ones: log the visit from the parking lot, write the note in the hospital, mark today's prayer list. Everything syncs when service comes back. Editing an existing record needs a connection, on purpose, so the app cannot quietly overwrite a correction someone else made while you were offline.

The database on your phone is encrypted. Getting back in uses your fingerprint, your face, or your device screen lock.

Churches are kept separate from each other, and each officer sees what his role and district allow. Nothing more.

Shepherding Tools needs an account on shepherdingtools.com, where a church can start free with up to five users. Prayer is included.

Equipping churches for shepherding the hundred. (Luke 15:4)
