About this app

ShieldFive brings your encrypted vault to Android. Upload photos, videos and documents directly from your phone, then view or restore them in the app.

Choose the photos and videos you want to protect, or import files through Android's document picker. File contents and names are encrypted on your device before upload. Organize your files in folders and albums, preview photos, play supported videos, and save or open decrypted files with Android's native chooser.

Backups show progress and keep failed uploads available to retry. After verifying a media backup, ShieldFive can help free space on your phone. Android asks for your confirmation before removing local originals.

A ShieldFive account is required. Existing account storage plans work in the app. This release does not sell subscriptions in Android.

Uploads you start can continue with the screen locked. If Android interrupts a transfer, reopen ShieldFive to resume. The mobile file limit is 2 GiB per file, and restoring a file needs space for both encrypted and decrypted copies. Available photo and video formats depend on your device. You can also import supported files through another app's Share menu.
