Secure VPN connection
Choose an available VPN location or use automatic server selection, then tap Connect. While connected, supported network traffic is routed through an encrypted IKEv2/IPsec tunnel to the selected VPN server.
Protection on shared networks
A VPN can add an encrypted layer between your Android device and the VPN tunnel endpoint. Shieldra helps maintain a protected VPN connection on supported Wi-Fi and mobile networks.
Server selection
Browse available VPN locations, view latency information, save favorites, or let Shieldra automatically select a suitable server using available connection information.
Split Tunneling
Choose how supported apps use the VPN. Configure selected apps to use the VPN connection or bypass it according to your preferences.
Custom DNS
Use Automatic DNS or configure supported DNS options available in Shieldra for additional control over DNS resolution while the VPN is active.
Kill Switch and Always-on VPN
Shieldra supports features that can help reduce unintended network exposure if the VPN connection is interrupted. On supported Android devices, you can also use Android's Always-on VPN and Block connections without VPN settings.
Speed Test and VPN status
Measure ping, jitter, download speed and upload speed with the built-in Speed Test. Shieldra can also display your selected VPN location, connection state, session duration and network activity.
Free and Premium
Shieldra includes free, ad-supported access with optional Premium upgrades. Premium may include no ads, premium VPN locations, higher-performance servers and priority server access.
Plans, pricing, billing periods and trial eligibility are shown in the app before purchase.

VpnService disclosure
Shieldra uses Android's VpnService API because VPN connectivity is the core function of the app. VpnService allows Shieldra to establish a device-level VPN tunnel and route supported traffic through the selected VPN server.
Traffic transmitted through the VPN tunnel is encrypted between your device and the VPN tunnel endpoint. Shieldra does not use VpnService to manipulate advertising traffic from other apps for monetization purposes.
Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription. Purchases are processed through Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to the terms shown during purchase. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.
