DocTrace is a focused document protection app. Add a password to a PDF, place a recipient watermark on every page, or create a traceable copy that you can verify later against local history.

THREE PROTECTION LEVELS
• Password: require a password to open the protected PDF.
• Confidential: password protection plus a visible watermark with recipient and date.
• Traceable: Confidential protection plus a unique DocTrace ID embedded in multiple parts of the PDF.

PRIVATE, ON-DEVICE WORKFLOW
• PDF content is processed locally and never uploaded to DocTrace.
• No DocTrace account is required.
• Your original file remains unchanged.
• The output is reopened and validated before the share sheet appears.
• Passwords are not saved in history.
• Temporary working files are removed after success, failure or cancellation.

MORE THAN PDF INPUT
Import PDF or DOCX documents, JPG and PNG images, and HEIC images when the device supports them. DocTrace converts compatible sources locally into a PDF, lets you review the preview, then applies the protection you choose.

VERIFY A TRACEABLE COPY
DocTrace does not track opens or send recipient activity to a server. Traceable copies carry an identifier that can be checked locally against your protected-document history.

IMPORTANT LIMITS
Passwords, watermarks and PDF usage restrictions make casual access and reuse harder, but they cannot prevent screenshots, photography or deliberate reconstruction. Send the password through a separate channel.
