QuickRec helps you capture meetings, lectures, voice notes, and ideas without
unnecessary steps. It is a voice recorder with 1M+ downloads on Google Play.

[Start recording quickly]

• Tap the large microphone button once to start recording.
• When Auto Start is enabled, recording begins after an on-screen countdown
when you open the app.
• Set an Auto Stop duration to finish a recording after the selected time.

[Choose the right recording settings]

• Record in MP3, WAV, or M4A.
• Adjust sample rate and bit rate to balance quality and file size.
• Pause and resume while recording.
• QuickRec does not impose a recording-count limit. Available device storage
determines how much you can keep.

[Play, manage, and share]

• Browse and play recordings inside the app.
• Rename files and send them through sharing apps installed on your device.
• Restore deleted recordings from Trash or delete them permanently.
• Incoming calls stop active playback so it does not interfere with the call.

Recordings are stored on your device.

Default location:
[Internal storage] > Download > com.shinshow.quickrec

If the public location is unavailable, QuickRec may use app-specific storage
to avoid losing a recording. When an unexpected interruption or finalization
failure occurs, recoverable output is preserved in the Recovery location and
the app notifies you.

• Microphone: Required to record audio.
• Music and audio/storage: Used to find and manage recording files, depending
on the Android version.

• Alarms and reminders: On Android 12 and later, additional access may be
needed for Auto Stop to run at the selected time.
• Internet and network state: Used to load ads and online help.

Ratings and reviews

Great app, BUT since 11. August 2022 it does not show my files in Explorer when I look for it (in com.shinshow.quickrec). All my old files up until this date (11. august 2022) are shown in explorer but not the new ones. I can play the new files in my phone, but when I want to transfer them to my computer, I can't find them :-( Can't seem to easily update the app. Please help me figure this out, because I like(d) the app.

Easy to use, BUT, for whatever reason there is inconsistent recording quality. Something ends up damaging at least half the files, where the file ends up getting corrupted, missing parts of the recording, "fast forward" speed in random places. It's frustrating to have a good recording session when half of the files are unusable.

After I deleted the first sound recording, the microphone disappeared. I get that devs need to monetize their code, but the ads were distracting (not the reason for this rating though). I also do not like the facy that you have to give permission to manage your calls and their privacy policy is no privacy policy at all - it is a list of required permissions.
