Drivers use the app during an active load to securely share real-time GPS location data. Dispatchers and shippers receive continuous visibility from pickup to delivery without interrupting you on the road.

ShipLocate is required by certain shippers for compliance and operational visibility.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install the app and log in using your phone number
2. Accept the assigned load
3. Allow required permissions (Location and Notifications)
4. Tracking runs automatically for the duration of the trip

If you don't receive an SMS, contact your dispatcher to confirm your phone number is correctly entered in the system.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
ShipLocate must remain installed, permitted, and active for the entire shipment. If location permissions are disabled or tracking is interrupted, the shipper may require manual check-ins or apply additional fees according to their policies.

PRIVACY AND LOCATION USE
Location data is collected only during active shipments to enable real-time tracking required by the shipper. ShipLocate does not track drivers outside of assigned loads.

BACKGROUND LOCATION
ShipLocate requires background location access to provide continuous, real-time shipment tracking during active loads, as required by shippers and logistics partners. Location data is collected only while a load is active and stops automatically when the shipment is completed.
