ShipSmith is an AI assistant for seafarers and ship crew. Ask a question in your own words, show it a photo or a PDF, or call an agent and talk it through.

TALK TO SPECIALIST AI AGENTS
• MIRA: an easy-going AI companion for a chat, banter, trivia and quick practical help. MIRA is for fun and everyday help, not a counselling, medical or crisis service.
• Get Hired (seafarers): register as a manning candidate so you can be matched to a vessel.
• Seafarer's Academy (seafarers): study for STCW and Certificate of Competency exams.
• Book a Survey and Ship & Parts Repair (fleet operators): book a survey or send a repair enquiry.
• In a vessel workspace: ELSA for machinery, Troubleshooting for electrical and automation faults, NORA for rules, certificates and audits, and Manning for crew changes, rotations and rest hours. They search the documents your company has added for that vessel and show the page an answer came from.

VOICE AND VIDEO CALLS
• Call MIRA or a vessel specialist and talk hands-free.
• Turn the camera on during a call and the agent sees a still picture every few seconds, so you can point it at a gauge, a nameplate or an alarm panel.
• The call carries on with the screen off; the notification lets you hang up.
• Pick MIRA's personality for the call. One of them, Foul Mouth, swears a lot; it is never on unless you choose it.
• Confidential calls with MIRA are not saved to your chats.
• Calls have a daily minutes allowance, shown before you call.

PHOTOS AND PDFS
Take a photo, pick one from your gallery or attach a PDF, and ask about it.

DOCUMENTS
Ask for a document and ShipSmith writes it as a PDF: troubleshooting guides, maintenance procedures, work scopes, requisition lists, incident and near-miss reports, handover notes, risk assessments, pre-job checklists, toolbox talks, letters and more. You can also save a reply as a PDF, export a whole chat as PDF or Markdown, or copy and share a reply.

Keep your details, your role and the languages MIRA talks to you in up to date. See every device signed in to your account and sign any of them out. Report any AI reply you think is wrong or offensive. Delete your account from Profile whenever you want.

Career and Jobs open ShipSmith on the web, already signed in.
