Shoot House turns one or more phones into a scored, timed dry-fire range.
Point the camera at the target, shoot it with a laser training cartridge, and every hit is scored where it landed - zone, points and split time. No ammunition, no range fees, no scoring by eye.
WHAT YOU NEED
- A laser training cartridge or dry-fire laser (red or green)
- Something to shoot at. A free 13-page target pack is included, but you are not tied to it -
photograph ANY target, trace its scoring zones once, and the app scores against those
- A phone with a camera, propped or tripod-mounted. Add more phones for multi-room runs
- For multi-room Shoot House only: a Mac or Windows computer to run the free hub on (fitz-systems.com/shoothouse/download). Solo and Duel need nothing but the phone
SHOOT HOUSE - THE MODE IT IS NAMED FOR
Run a scored, timed course room to room. Put a phone in each room, build a drill on the free desktop hub, and shoot the house. Rooms are cleared in order, on the clock, with a live scoreboard on the laptop.
Build your own courses: the targets in each room, how each goes down, a par time, a round limit, a magazine and reload requirement, and what ends the run on the spot - a hostage hit, a bomb vest, a room not cleared in time. Or hit Random Drill for something you have not seen before.
SOLO
Free Practice for placement with no clock. Timed String for the draw and your splits. Reaction, where the app calls out a zone printed on the sheet you are shooting - A, C or D on a silhouette, 8 or X on rings - and times how fast you hit it.
Then the named standards, each with real pass conditions and a badge for shooting it clean:
- Bill Drill - six rounds center mass, as fast as you can hold them there
- Tueller - two center hits before he covers the ground. Three distances - 35, 21 and 12.6 feet - all shot from four feet, the sheet's scale standing in for the range
- 1-to-5 - three targets, fifteen rounds, and the count is the drill
- El Presidente - three targets, a turn, a reload, twelve rounds, ten seconds
- El Presidente Elite - the same course shrunk onto one sheet at 38%
- Dot Torture - fifty rounds, ten dots, no clock at all
- Gold Card - five strings, shot cold, one attempt a day
- Gold Card Elite - thirty-six rounds across fourteen strings
Plus scripted scenarios: Mozambique, and Bombing Run - four bomb vests, one second on the clock, every headshot buys another.
DUEL
Head to head on printed targets. Two shooters, one phone.
- Showdown - two targets side by side. Pick Reaction, Scored or Combined
- Defuse - a bomb vest each on one shared fuse. First clean headshot takes the round
- Call Out - a dot sheet each. The phone calls a number out loud, and the first shooter on that dot takes it
- Dueling Tree - ONE sheet between you. Lead with any plate, and your opponent has to match the number before the clock runs out
THE DESKTOP HUB IS FREE
Multi-room Shoot House needs a hub, and it costs nothing. No subscription - buy the app once.
It is a separate free download for Mac or Windows, from fitz-systems.com/shoothouse/download, and it runs on a COMPUTER rather than a phone. It installs like any other desktop app. Single-phone Solo and Duel need no hub at all.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No sign-in. No ads. No analytics. Nothing is uploaded - the phones talk only to your own hub on your own network, and everything stays on your devices. Works with no internet connection at all.
ABOUT THE MICROPHONE PERMISSION
Optional, and only so a clap can start a run hands-free. Audio is checked on the device for the shape of a sharp impulse and nothing else - a clap, not a voice, with no speech recognition of any kind. It is never recorded, stored or transmitted. Leave it off and every mode still works; you just tap to start.
