Who we are
Rolando no Rio, is a project that began in 1997 as a music and entertainment program on Rádio Saara, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. After four years he was interrupted for private reasons and now in 2018 he returned to the same house, Rádio Saara. After this hiatus, today the program is back and airs every Friday night, with lots of music, cultural tips and interactivity. The program has a varied audience throughout Brazil and abroad.
I'm very happy that the project came back and now, with the technology we have, we're able to reach a much wider audience. When I was still a boy I knew I wanted to be a journalist and writer, I know that the path is still beginning, but I also know that nothing is done sitting on the couch and waiting for something to fall from the sky. So let's fight and victory is certain! Rolando no Rio is now a web radio and entertainment site to continue what started 23 years ago, back in Saara (Sociedade de Amigos e Adjacentes da Rua da Alfandega).
I have always liked music, because I believe it is the food of the spirit. And working with music and information has always been the biggest dream of my life. Rolando in Rio from today comes to life and body. We will always be here to keep the channel we want: to entertain people always bringing joy and information. Music will never go away.
