About this game

Get the world champion. Have fun and improve your play. You can play against Shredder, analyze with him and solve chess puzzles. It offers the usual Shredder standard for your pocket.

In addition to the outstanding playing strength of the 19 times computer chess world champion, Shredder is also able to mimic the play of a human chess player with any playing strength. He even deliberately makes typical human mistakes in those levels.

Solve 1000 built in chess puzzles. Shredder keeps track of your performance and offers advice if needed.

You can adjust Shredder’s playing strength from beginner to master level. If you like, Shredder automatically adjusts his strength to yours. He even calculates an Elo rating for you. This is how the playing strength of chess players is typically measured.

During the game a coach is watching your moves and warns you if you are about to make a mistake.

Ratings and reviews

I have lowered my rating from 5 stars because Shredder chess has failed to evolve at all. Yes its a strong engine but that's really it. Do something to make it better. For instance, when it says "that may not have been the best move. Add why? And have it explain why and what it leads to. Add more teachings like classical openings, defenses, variants and again, (a why button if you try variants), famous games library. This app is so old and has changed zero. It 100% was not worth the 7$ I paid.

its great honestly, but can u just add some feature like copy paste PGN and also a much better analysis? it's kind of weird to see that this app lost track of the real game board movement as soon as im trying some trial and error when analyzing my game :/, i mean, make the game movement (chess notation) become "recursive-like" (look at lichess for example), and also somehow there's a really short time of freeze (most people wont notice it but I did) when you make a move

The interface used to be pretty nice, but they changed it- and really ruined it. The settings you choose don't work. like muting the sound. it may have to do with recent android updates. I hope it gets fixed soon.
