Watch any video and read its subtitles in your own language — translated by AI, line by line, the moment you need them.
LingoPlayer is a local video player with built-in AI subtitle translation. Load an external subtitle file (SRT / VTT / ASS) or pull the text subtitles embedded in the video, and LingoPlayer translates them on the fly using the AI provider you choose. You bring your own API key — there is no subscription and no account.

• Real-time translation while you watch — lines are translated as the video plays and cached so you can resume later.
• Original / translated / dual display — read the translation, the original, or both at once.
• External + embedded subtitles — open SRT, VTT and ASS files, or extract a video's built-in text subtitle track.
• Export translations — save the finished translation as an .srt file.
• Full local player — brightness/volume/seek gestures, playback speed, aspect ratio, A-B repeat, screen lock, Picture-in-Picture, and background playback with media controls.
• Continue watching — a home screen with thumbnails that resumes each video where you left off.
• Cast to your TV — send a local video to Chromecast with the translated subtitles attached.
PRIVACY & PRICING
• Your API keys are encrypted on your device (Android Keystore) and are never sent to us.
• No account, no sign-up.
• The app is free, supported by ads: an app-open ad at most once every 15 minutes, and a full-screen ad before playback at most once per hour per video. Where required you are asked for ad-personalization consent (GDPR), changeable anytime in Settings.
• Prefer no ads? A one-time "remove ads" purchase turns every ad off.
Decoding uses your device's built-in codecs only.
