Switching apps takes too many taps. Edge panels are easy to trigger by
mistake, and going through the home screen takes two.

TouchCaptain is a vertical bar that stays on the edge of your screen.
Add the apps you use most and switch with a single tap.

· Switch in one tap
Apps already running come back to where you left off.
Check the map while typing an address, and your text is still there.

· Up to 6 apps
Drag to reorder them, and find one by name when adding or replacing.

· Flashlight at night
A fixed slot at the bottom of the bar. A yellow outline shows it's on.
No camera permission needed.

· Left or right
Put the bar on whichever edge suits your hand.

· Keep it folded
Leave only the flashlight so the bar barely covers your screen.
Press and hold to open the app list; it folds again shortly.

· Move it up or down
Long press and drag. It stays where you drop it, so you can keep it
clear of buttons underneath.

· 13 background colors + transparent
Add a background if icons blend into bright screens.

· Auto off after 5 hours
It turns itself off if you forget.

■ Notes

· 'Display over other apps' permission is required to show the bar.
· Android requires an ongoing notification while it runs.
· Your app list and settings stay on your device. There is no server.
· This app is free and shows ads.

What’s new

You can now switch the bar to horizontal.

• Choose Vertical or Horizontal under "Bar shape" on the home screen. Vertical stays the default
• In horizontal mode, icons line up side by side; swipe if there are more than fit on screen
• In horizontal mode, you can pin the flashlight to either the left or right edge
