About this app

Compass is a smooth, accurate and good-looking compass that does more than show north. It can point you toward any city, landmark or spot you've saved, and it shows how far away it is.

🧭 A SMOOTH, STEADY HEADING
Compass uses your phone's sensors and filters out jitter, so the needle turns steadily instead of twitching. A large live readout shows your exact heading in degrees, with the cardinal direction next to it.

📍 POINT TO ANY PLACE
Search for a city, address or landmark and pick it as your target. The compass then shows which way it is and how far away it is. It's handy for finding your way back, getting a feel for a new city, or just seeing which way home is.

⭐ SAVE YOUR OWN WAYPOINTS
Save where you're standing with one tap: your car, your campsite, a trailhead or a favorite fishing spot. Give it a name, and later select it to be guided straight back. You can rename or delete waypoints at any time.

🎨 MAKE IT YOURS
Pick from four compass skins:
• Modern Minimal: clean and simple
• Classic Nautical: a traditional marine look
• Tactical: rugged and easy to read
• Neon: bright and glowing

Pair any skin with one of four color themes: Ocean, Sunset, Forest or Midnight.

⚙️ SHOW ONLY WHAT YOU NEED
• Kilometers or miles
• Turn the live heading readout on or off
• Show or hide degree numbers on the dial
• Show or hide the NE, SE, SW and NW labels
• Show or hide the distance and bearing line for your target

🔒 SIMPLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT
No account and no sign-up. Location is used only to calculate direction and distance to your targets, and your waypoints are stored on your device.

Great for hiking, camping, travel, geocaching, fishing, sailing, or anyone who wants a dependable compass in their pocket.

Location search powered by Nominatim / © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Tip: For the best accuracy, keep your phone away from magnets and metal objects. If the heading seems off, move your phone in a figure-8 motion to recalibrate the sensor.
A beautiful compass that points you to any place or saved waypoint.
