About this app
Sifter is the platform for student-managed investment funds and investment clubs. The app puts your fund on your phone between meetings: the portfolio, the research, the channels, and the League.
Portfolio
See the fund's value, its holdings, the day's moves and the return against the benchmark. Switch between the fund and your own personal book with one tap.
Research
Look up any stock and keep a watchlist. Star the ones you follow and open them from anywhere in the app.
Channels
Talk with your fund in channels, by ticker or by topic. Members without a fund get Discussion, where everyone on Sifter talks by ticker.
The League
Draft real stocks with your friends and play head to head each week, scored on real returns from Monday's open to Friday's close. Press a called shot on Wednesday or bank it. A ladder tracks every player's rating and record. There is never money involved. It is a game about judgment.
The Sprint
Call one stock against the S&P 500 over two weeks and say how sure you are. Every call is locked when you make it and settles against closing prices. It goes on the same record you build on the website.
Your Sifter Card
The record a recruiter reads: your calls, your reasoning, and how well calibrated you have been. You choose what is shown.
Sifter is free. The app makes no trades, connects to no brokerage, and holds no money. Positions are entered by the fund or imported from a broker export on the website, and the app reads that record.
Accounts are created at sifter.finance. Students and faculty sign up with an educational email address. Alumni and recruiters can sign up without one.
