Signal Hunter is a professional network utility tool designed to help you monitor, analyze, and locate the best network signal reception in your area.
Whether you are in a remote area, hiking in the woods, or simply trying to find the best spot for your home router, Signal Hunter provides the technical data you need in a clean, understandable interface.
KEY FEATURES:
1. Real-Time Quality Monitor
Stop guessing what your signal bars mean. We convert raw signal strength (dBm) into an easy-to-read percentage (0-100%) with status indicators (Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent).
• Supports both Cellular Data (2G/3G/4G/5G) and Wi-Fi connections.
• Visualizes signal stability with a real-time moving graph.
• Displays network type and raw technical data (dBm, ASU).
2. Signal Hunter (Compass Navigation)
Struggling with unstable connectivity in outdoor areas? The "Signal Hunter" feature is designed to solve this problem.
• How it works: As you move around, the app tracks your GPS location and signal strength simultaneously. It automatically remembers the exact coordinate where the signal was strongest (The "Peak" spot).
• Navigation: If you move away and the signal drops, the built-in Compass Arrow points you back to that specific "Best Spot", displaying the distance and direction.
• Essential for users in rural areas or during outdoor activities where finding a connection is critical.
3. Dual-Mode Intelligence
The app automatically switches between Wi-Fi and Cellular modes, adjusting the signal calculation formulas to ensure accuracy for the specific network type you are using.
4. Privacy-First Architecture
Your privacy is our priority. Signal Hunter operates on a "Local-First" basis.
• All GPS and Signal data is processed locally on your device's RAM.
• We do NOT transmit, store, or sell your location history or personal data to any external servers.
PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED:
To provide these features, the app requires the following permissions:
• Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Required by the Android System to access signal strength data (dBm) from the modem and to power the "Signal Hunter" GPS navigation feature. Without this, the app cannot measure signal or guide you to better reception.
• Wi-Fi State: Required to read Wi-Fi signal strength (RSSI) and SSID.
Note: This app is a diagnostic tool. It measures and locates existing signals; it does not boost or create signals that do not exist.
