About this app

Bluetooth Monitor is a Bluetooth scanner for nearby devices. The app shows discovered and bonded Bluetooth devices, RSSI signal strength, manufacturer, and a live signal chart. It works with Bluetooth Classic and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

Find out which headphones, speakers, headsets, watches, and other Bluetooth devices are around you, how strong their signal is, and which ones are already bonded (paired) with your phone. On Android 12 and later, location permission is not required: Bluetooth scanning works without access to your location.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Bluetooth Monitor helps when you need to:
- check RSSI signal strength if headphones or a speaker keep cutting out;
- see nearby Bluetooth devices and sort them by signal strength;
- identify the manufacturer of an unknown device from its MAC address;
- review bonded devices and see which of them are visible in the current scan.

FEATURES

1. Overview
Bluetooth adapter status: name, connectability, and discoverability. Headset and Hands-Free profiles plus A2DP (advanced audio), connected audio devices, the number of bonded devices, and how many of them were found in the current scan.

2. Discovered devices
A live list of Bluetooth devices from an environment scan. Sort by name, signal strength (RSSI), or MAC address.

3. Bonded devices
A list of previously bonded (paired) Bluetooth devices. Sort by name or address.

4. Signal strength chart
RSSI of discovered devices over the last 60 seconds. In Settings you can show numeric values in dBm and a color legend for each device.

5. Device info
Tap a device in the list to open details: name, alias, Bluetooth address, manufacturer from the OUI prefix, class, type (Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy, or Dual Mode), and current RSSI. Fields can be copied to the clipboard.

BACKGROUND BLUETOOTH MONITORING

Scanning and RSSI logging run while the monitoring service is active. Start or stop it with the in-app button or from the notification. The service stops automatically after one hour.

CONVENIENCE

System, light, or dark theme. Device lists remember your chosen sort order. You can choose whether monitoring stops when you leave the app.

PRIVACY

Scan results stay on your device and are not uploaded to the developer's servers.
