A spool waits as thread feeds onto it. Drag your finger in a circle to wind the thread around the spool. Stay at the right speed — too slow and the thread bunches, too fast and it frays. Burls appear on the thread that require extra care to wind past. Each level has a target amount of thread to wind. Steady circular motion and even speed create the perfect spool.
