Glance at your phone — and see the latest photo from your closest friends. Right on your home screen, no app to open. Just the people who matter, on the screen you actually look at.

1. Take a photo, pick one from your gallery, or share an image into Sillside from any other app.
2. It lands on your friends' home-screen widgets within seconds.
3. Theirs land on yours.
4. Tap one to react — and watch the emojis rain across the photo.

TIGHT CIRCLES, MULTIPLE OF THEM

Sillside is built around small circles — your partner and family, your closest friends, your climbing crew. Free users can be in up to 3 circles of up to 20 friends each. Photos go to one circle or several at a time.

No public profile, no "explore", no algorithm, no follower count. Photos go to people you've explicitly added. Nobody else.

ON THE HOME SCREEN

The photo lives on your home screen, not in an app you have to open. Tap once for full size. Long-press a reaction to take it back. When a friend reacts, you see the emojis cascade down across the photo on your next look.

The widget refreshes within seconds of a friend sending — even on phones with aggressive battery savers. We walk you through the per-manufacturer background-permission steps in onboarding so it actually works on your specific device.

PRIVACY FIRST

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not use your photos as training data.

Photos go only to members of the circles you sent them to. There's no global feed, no aggregate dataset, no algorithmic mining. Photos are stored encrypted in transit and at rest in Firebase Storage; access is gated by Firestore security rules so only signed-in members of the relevant circle can read them.

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete account. We delete your data within 30 days. The full privacy policy is at sillside.app/privacy.

REQUIREMENTS

Android 9 (API 28) or newer. Internet connection. Camera access (only when you take a photo). Notification permission (so the widget refreshes silently when a friend sends).
